Creating a concert instrument offering a rich variety of tonal colours, transparency and projection, you need prime tonewood as well as time for a precise workmanship.
This is why I only build a limited number of instruments, that are uniquely personalized to customer’s tastes.
Comfortable playability is important to me as well as mellow singing trebles, balance and an easy response.
I offer diverse models (N, K, Z) each in different elaborated designs and price ranges.
Nevertheless, each instrument is unique and can be built according to your individual wishes (e.g. scale, fretboard, lefthanded models, choice of woods, ...).
I gladly help you to customize your instrument to your individual tastes and needs.
You are welcome to visit my workshop and try out current instruments.
I am also happy to accommodate you for the night in case you have a long journey ahead of you. Just feel free to ask.

This classical guitar is an advanced make of the popular C27 and the result of a long evolution.
The elevated fingerboard makes it easier to play the high notes.

Since 2003 I play a master guitar made by Thomas Eichert.
This instrument has an incredible richness of overtones, brilliance and volume, paired with profound basses and singing trebles.
A guitar that always inspires me every day and lets me dive into the depths of music.
Thomas Eichert absolutely belongs to the top of guitarmakers.
Dear Thomas, I thank you very cordially for this wonderful instrument!

... I bought your wonderful cedar model this week at "die Gitarre" in Winterthur.
It was love at first sight.
I am now in my 41st year of service as a guitar teacher, composer and concert guitarist and I never knew that playing the guitar could be so easy.
An amazing instrument in sound and handling.
Congratulations and many thanks for this masterpiece!

2006, when I played a Thomas Eichert guitar the first time, there was magic between us at once. Never before I played a guitar that was so responsive to my attack. Without effort for my part, the instrument responded immediately and gave me feedback.
I didn´t have to tease out the tones of the instrument, but the instrument with its richness of tonal colours inspired me to play.
From then on Thomas Eichert’s guitar accompanied me on many tours and I always could rely on it.
In the meantime I have seen and held many of his instruments.
His guitars are handicraft made at the highest stage. His skills and love for detail never cease to amaze me.
The guitars have a good selectivity, are well balanced and in addition easy to play.
Seldom loudness is paired so well with the beauty of sound.
If someone deserves the title of master guitar maker, then Thomas Eichert.
